Apple Desk: Grok Bot driving Mac Apple apps

Dia (@madebydia) · Catalog date October 15, 2026

Dia (@madebydia) uses the Grok Bot desktop app on macOS. On request, a Grok Bot built a skill called Apple Desk that reads and updates Reminders, Calendar, Notes, and Contacts on the Mac, and reads Messages. The skill is shared with Dia's other Grok Bots. It was tested on Reminders and found the user's list.

Roles

A screenshot shows several of the user's Grok Bots, including Household Runner, Signal Scout, Homeschool Prep, and Reno Helper. The post presents those names as examples, not as a complete roster or a count. What each bot owns, and what each never does, is to be added. They share the Apple Desk skill.

Notes

Dia sent a Grok Bot Phil Holland's post and asked for something like it. The request is the prompt above. Phil Holland's post shows macOS automation permissions granted to Grok Bot for Contacts, Messages, Notes, Terminal, Xcode-beta, Finder, Calendar, Mail, Reminders, and System Events. This entry does not treat that list as the set of apps Apple Desk uses.

Apple Desk reads and updates Reminders, Calendar, Notes, and Contacts on the Mac, and reads Messages. The skill is shared with the user's other bots. Routines, handoffs, per-bot charters, what broke, and lessons are to be added.
