Molly Cantillon's personal panopticon
Molly Cantillon (@mollycantillon) · Catalog date October 16, 2026
Molly Cantillon describes running product and personal work from Claude Code. Eight directories run in parallel: nox, metrics, email, growth, trades, health, writing, and personal. NOX reads Amplitude and GitHub on a cron. An overnight markets pull leaves a morning brief in ~/trades.

Roles
The essay names eight directories and says each runs in isolation, spawns short-lived subagents, and exchanges context through explicit handoffs. It describes NOX, email, trades, and health in some detail. It names metrics, growth, writing, and personal without saying what those instances do.
Constraints shared by every role
To be added.
NOX
Owns. On a cron, pulls Amplitude, cross-references GitHub, and points at what to build. The essay says it handles A/B testing, generates copy, and has turned customer support into a fully autonomous department.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Metrics
Owns. To be added. The essay names ~/metrics and does not describe the job.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Email
Owns. Auto-drafted replies for inbound email. The essay says this is the first time the author hit inbox zero.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Growth
Owns. To be added. The essay names ~/growth and does not describe the job.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Trades
Owns. Overnight, pulls brokerage data, congressional and hedge-fund disclosures, Polymarket odds, X sentiment, headlines, and 10-Ks from a watchlist. A morning brief is written to ~/trades.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Health
Owns. Workouts around erratic travel, and sleep. The essay describes a projector wired to WHOOP that wakes the author after exactly six hours.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Writing
Owns. To be added. The essay names ~/writing and does not describe the job.
Uses the shared constraints above.
Personal

Routines
NOX cron
Cron; the interval is not stated
Pull Amplitude, cross-reference GitHub, and point at what to build.
Markets brief
Overnight, with the brief available in the morning
Pull the market and portfolio inputs listed under Trades and add a brief in ~/trades.
Guardrails
- Each of the eight instances operates in isolation.
- Context moves between them only through explicit handoffs.
- When a run finishes it texts the author, who replies to the checkpoint to continue.
Handoffs
The eight instances exchange context through explicit handoffs. On completion, a run texts the author and waits for a reply before continuing. The essay does not list which directory hands which artifact to which other directory.

Results
- What worked
- The author reports first-ever inbox zero with auto-drafted replies, $2000 in forgotten subscriptions found and returned, customer support run as a fully autonomous department, and a morning brief in ~/trades. The essay says that brief flagged Rep. Fields buying NFLX shares, and that a Warner Bros deal followed three weeks later. The author says she does not always trade.

Notes
The catalog date is the day this entry was drafted. The source post is dated January 7, 2026.
The mechanical setup in the essay is the eight directories above. Each can read and write the filesystem. When an API is missing, the essay says they operate the desktop by injecting mouse and keystroke events. caffeinate -i keeps the machine awake. The author writes that Anthropic sees every query.
The same essay describes other Claude Code uses that are not given as roles in the eight directories, including a one-night parse of a document set and the author's parents running accounts receivable. Those are not entered here as extra agents. Subscriptions are reported as a result and are not tied to a named directory. The essay does not include a prompt or a statement of what broke. Difficulty is not stated.
